In Person:
A copy of a police or accident report can be purchased between the hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday thru Friday at the main office of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department. The cost is $3.00 for a police report and $8.00 for an accident report.
By Mail:
A copy of a police or accident report can be purchased by mail by sending:
A self addressed stamped envelope.
A check or money order for the applicable amount, payable to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department.
A written request for the report.
The name of the driver involved or parties involved, location, time of accident or incident, or a report number provided to you by the investigating officer.
