INCOME means total income before deductions.
HOUSEHOLD means a group of related or nonrelated individuals who are not residents or an institution but who are living as ONE ECONOMIC UNIT.
For a SELF-EMPLOYED PERSON such as a farmer or a small business owner, the income is deemed to be gross income less business expenses. This figure, as stated in the most recent tax filing, may be used.
