July 21, 2020 PSA re: COVID-19

Steuben County has a total of 164 COVID-19 positive cases, 114 individuals considered recovered and 3 deaths associated with COVID-19. From yesterday, an increase of five (5) COVID-19 positive cases were documented for Steuben County, Indiana.
The Steuben County Board of Health in support of the Steuben County Health Officer has signed a public health order requiring the use of a face covering for any individual over the age of 2 years old at the Steuben County Community Center located at 317 S. Wayne St. Angola IN 46703. This public health order will take effect at 12:01 AM on July 22nd, 2020. This decision was made in the interest of public health and safety for the visitors and employees that working at the Community Center. Traveling can increase your risk of contracting COVID-19, especially to regions within the United States that are experiencing an increase in reported cases of COVID-19. Any community member that is planning on traveling to these areas should take all precautions and verify safety recommendations and travel restrictions with local and state officials at the destination.
A social gathering will increase your risk of contracting COVID-19, especially in locations where social distancing cannot be maintained. A face covering is highly recommended at all times if attending a social gathering. This includes gatherings that are occurring indoors and outdoors with good air flow. Please limit your potential risk by utilizing a face covering and practice physical distancing from others.
